Carols at Schuler’s
•WHAT IT IS: Community choirs perform at Schuler’s Restaurant during the dinner hour for a festive presentation.
“There’s something magical that happens here at Christmas time, and the choirs add to that magical experience,” said Shondel Neal, the restaurant’s vice president and sales director.
Singers range from the Battle Creek Community Chorus to the boy and girl choirs of Battle Creek to Ars Voce. Part of the tradition has Marshall High School students dressing up in Victorian garb and performing as Dickens Carolers — they’re joined by alumni on Dec. 18.
Neal strongly recommended making reservations, because seats fill up fast, especially for the younger groups.
•WHAT’S NEW: This tradition has been going on for more than 30 years and audiences know what to expect. There are some holiday specials on the menu: steak and lobster, lobster tails and oven-roasted duckling.
•INFO: 7 to 8 p.m. Dec. 2-4, 8-10, 16, 18; Schuler’s Restaurant & Pub, 115 S. Eagle St., Marshall; 781-0600. For a complete list of performers, go to schulersrestaurant.com/events.
