The pub concept was introduced by Hans Schuler in the early 1980s. When others might have basked in the reputation and success of the flagship restaurant, he saw an opportunity in the changing eating habits of our guests. Reasoning that many people would come in to get “an exceptional hamburg and a mug of beer,” Hans set about to create a “second restaurant” adjacent to the existing Centennial Room. Winston’s Pub has proven to be a popular mid-week gathering place, and today, it represents the biggest growth area for the restaurant. In recent years, renovations of the restaurant included an expansion of the pub, and the installation of a separate kitchen to facilitate pub dining.
