Do You Know Why Jean Schuler Baked Two Turkeys?

We have our own favorite memories and stories about Thanksgiving from the Schuler family, too. Many years ago, Hans’ family home was behind the restaurant. The restaurant was running out of turkey for their guests. As Hans shared, “My Father, Win, came to the house and took the turkey my Mother, Jean Schuler, was cooking for our family out of the oven.  He took it back to the restaurant to serve to the hungry guests.” Hans went on to share that Win did bring back a ham, but Jean was very disappointed with the ham. He added, “every year after that my Mom baked two turkeys.”

Have you planned your menu for Thanksgiving Dinner?  We have, and you can bet we’ll have more than two fresh turkeys available for our guests. Make this Thanksgiving an enjoyable experience for everyone (yourself included) by joining the many families who call Schuler’s Restaurant home on this special holiday.

Steeped in tradition and prepared just right.

Since 1909, Schuler’s has been preparing meals from scratch, taking the time to make sure everything tastes just like it came from your grandmother’s kitchen. Take a seat at the table of our iconic restaurant and relax. Focus on spending time with family and friends while we focus on the rest.

On November 23rd, we are serving dinner for you and your guests from 11:00 a.m. to  6:00 p.m. Enjoy a traditional, plated turkey dinner with all the trimmings and none of the stress at Schuler’s. Reserve your family’s spot soon – with food this good, tables are a hot commodity.  The best part is that if you’d like seconds, or thirds, or just a little more of something, our server will be happy to bring it to you.
